Safety Footwear Manufacturer:
Our expertise for hospitality,
agri-food, and light industry
means caring for their comfort at work, and beyond.
Within our Group, footwear expertise is embodied by our Nordways® brand, a historical benchmark for over 45 years in safety footwear and work shoes dedicated to the hospitality, agri-food, catering, service environments, and light industry sectors.
As a safety footwear manufacturer, we master key manufacturing expertise and HoReCa/healthcare requirements to offer a wide range of comfortable and durable shoes, standardized as PPE, adapted for long days standing and demanding floors.
For professionals, the best shoes are those that protect, keep pace, and have style, both at work and after.
But above all, they are the ones you forget you’re wearing!
We design safety footwear and work shoe models adapted to every environment!
Each environment imposes its constraints: slippery floors, high pace, humidity, heat… Our expertise consists of translating these real-world conditions into effective protective equipment, for men and women, with one common goal: to guarantee foot protection without sacrificing comfort or style.
Our approach as a safety footwear manufacturer is based on standardized models, strong grip, and a design engineered to support standing and extended work rhythms.
Result: nearly 300,000 pairs of shoes produced each year, shipped within France and internationally, comfortable to wear and refined enough to complement the establishments’ image.
Anti-slip clogs: the benchmark for kitchen, service & agri-food
Nordways® expertise is exemplified by its work and safety clogs.
- Priority anti-slip: non-slip soles and profiles designed to secure footing on greasy or wet floors.
- Quick donning: easy-to-slip-on shapes, adapted for fast-paced work environments.
- Hygiene and maintenance: materials selected to withstand frequent washing.
Nordways® EN ISO 20345 standard safety shoes are footwear with non-slip soles and 200 joule protective toe caps.
Safety sneakers and service shoes: mobility, style, and grip
In hospitality and healthcare professions, teams alternate between rapid movements, long periods of standing, and sometimes slippery floors.
- Mobility and lightness: flexible and dynamic shapes to keep up with the pace.
- Lasting comfort: constructions designed to limit fatigue during long days.
- Controlled grip: optimized non-slip soles to secure footing on smooth or wet surfaces, central to the requirements of standardized professional protective footwear.
- Style serving image: sober or more contemporary lines depending on the environment, to maintain consistency with the establishments’ aesthetic.
Nordways® was a pioneer in the EN ISO 20347 standard, dedicated to work shoes without toe caps. These models meet the needs of professions where the main challenge is anti-slip properties and long-lasting comfort: “service” protection, refined design, and ground performance to a recognized standard.
Safety loafers: our expertise for wet environments and high-constraint areas
In certain environments, loafers must guarantee waterproofing, stability, and also remain comfortable despite continuous constraints (water, cleaning products, slippery floors).
- Standardized and durable protection: safety loafers compliant with standards, designed to preserve foot protection.
- Secure grip: non-slip soles designed to ensure reliable footing on wet or greasy floors.
- Comfort in real conditions: support and flexibility to limit fatigue when standing.

Safety footwear manufacturer: specialist expertise, from design to standards, approved by top chefs
Our expertise does not consist of “making safety footwear” in a broad sense, but rather in mastering what truly makes a difference in demanding environments. From design to quality monitoring, we develop reliable models that comply with professional protective footwear standards, with constant attention to the comfort and style expected in these sectors.
Our Group participates in AFNOR and SYNAMAP (National Syndicate of Prevention and Protection Market Players) committees to anticipate future normative requirements and develop tomorrow’s standards.
Industrial mastery & Nordways® anti-slip technologies
We master the main manufacturing methods for professional footwear (injected, welded, or molded) to adjust flexibility, durability, grip, and finish according to your daily uses. And because slipping remains a major cause of workplace accidents, Nordways® has developed its own anti-slip technologies, EXTRAGRIP® and HEXAGRIP®, to secure footing on wet or greasy floors, durably and with complete confidence.
French Design-Innovation and recognized durability
Our models are designed in France within our Product Committee, with sourcing of tested raw materials (innocuity, resistance). Manufacturing relies on multi-located sites, mainly in Europe and supplemented in Asia, under strict control.
Nordways® received the Ecovadis Platinum medal for its CSR performance.
